Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use browser "local storage", which works similarly but is not sent to our servers automatically.
2. Cookies and Storage We Use
- Language preference (functional, first-party): a cookie that remembers whether you're viewing the site in English or Nepali, so you don't have to reselect it on every visit.
- Sign-in session (local storage, first-party): when you log in on the website, your session tokens are kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. This is not a cookie in the strict sense, but we mention it here for completeness.
- Cookie consent choice (local storage, first-party): when you accept or decline our cookie banner, that choice is remembered on your device.
We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the Platform. If that changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
3. The Mobile App
The MeroSir mobile app does not use browser cookies. Instead, it keeps your sign-in session in your device's secure, encrypted storage, which is only accessible to the MeroSir app itself.
4. Managing Cookies
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. You can also clear cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings, though this will sign you out and reset your language preference.
